Business is risky enough - legal advice shouldn’t be.

Clear, fixed-fee legal support for Australian businesses that want certainty — not surprises.

One poorly drafted contract can cost your business far more than legal advice ever will.

Most legal problems don’t start with a dispute.

They start with something small that was overlooked.

One issue, if left unchecked, can consume time, cash flow and energy — or worse.
But accessing quality legal advice can be expensive, time-consuming and can often feel needlessly overcomplicated.

Fixed-fee legal support – no surprises

Legal advice shouldn’t feel unpredictable or unclear.

We offer:

  • Fixed, transparent pricing

  • Clearly defined scope of work

  • No hourly billing

  • No six-minute increments

  • No unexpected invoices

You know exactly what you are paying for — before we even start.

There are three challenges that businesses commonly face when it comes to legal matters: cost, time and documentation that is unnecessarily confusing.

This is where Barratt Law can help you

Built for business owners

Barratt Law was established to support Australian small and medium enterprises — the backbone of the economy.

I grew up in a family business and have seen firsthand the pressure of running a business: managing cash flow, negotiating contracts, dealing with uncertainty and risk.

Over the past 20 years — across private practice and in-house roles — I have advised clients ranging from ASX-listed companies and financial institutions to family businesses and start-ups.

That experience shapes how I work.

My focus is simple: practical, commercially grounded advice that helps you run your business with confidence.

  • I qualified with a BA LLB in South Africa in 2002, and, after completing my articles of clerkship, I qualified as a lawyer, notary and conveyancer in 2006.

Being a serial student, I also completed the NQF Level 9 coursework towards a Masters Degree in Corporate and Commercial Law, and I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

I later qualified as an Australian solicitor, and was duly admitted as a lawyer in New South Wales and also in Western Australia.

Barratt Law gave us confidence that our interests were fully protected before entering the deal.

Most contractual disputes don’t arise from major projects — they tend to start with everyday agreements such, as service contracts or supplier terms.
